So im taking a college education class on teaching History grades 4-6. I took the class because the curriculum says I need to take more optional courses. As one of my assignments I have to visit a History class for a few days and participate in teacher activities among other things. Today was my first day going to my old elementary school and observing a class.
I arrive and I sit down in the back and immediately all the kids are staring at me, normal since they've never seen me before. This is a class consisting of different students from 4-6 grade so they're are pre teens mixed with literal children. A kid came over to me and showed something he made out of playdoh and he offered to sell it to me for a dollar, I declined and he just sat down. I observed the class watching the kids be rowdy asf and the teacher basically screaming the lecture over the squeals of children. This one foid who looked older than the rest of the class kept asking questions about the subject, in fact she was the only one doing so. From the way she acted I say she's on the spectrum. The girls kept looking back at me the whole time and I felt oddly uncomfortable, thankfully the class ended early today. I saw that older looking girl continue to stare at me talking to her friend while I was walking back to my car.
I feel this is going to be a very shitty experience
