Prior to the switch, Nintendo co-developed special GPU and CPU chips for the GameCube, Wii and Wii U.

With the switch Nintendo used stock NVIDIA chips that are available for anyone to buy.

This is why Nintendo games on switch are less optimized than Wii and Wii u games most likely. Nintendo themselves likely don't understand how to properly optimize for outdated 2015 hardware that they didn't even design.

Entire DS lineup was built like a tank. OG 3ds also. Then 2ds and rest of shits feels like 3 eur chinese toys.
