GameCube/Wii games were definitely above average. I agree. However starting with the Wii U/3ds and now going into the switch and possibly the switch 2, I really don't think they're much of a premium experience. Most tend to be average to slightly below average. I don't understand the hype for the new Zelda games or Mario. There's a lot of frustration over switch 2 games being $80 and frankly IDC, because I doubt I would've purchased them in the first place even if they were $60.
Also, I have to say that people claiming that poor people can't play video games now is pretty funny. If you can spend $60 on a game (which frankly I never have) then you can save $20. People aren't going to suddenly stop playing games because they have to pay $20 more.
Most of the people who complain will buy this rubbish anyway. It's pointless outrage by mindless consumers who for whatever reason act like consuming Nintendo slop is a human right. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If more people were apathetic and just said no then they'd have to lower the prices. But nah, they'll complain about it being too expensive, then buy it and buy it again when Nintendo adds an extra 10.
They won't just go find good non Nintendo games to play or visit older Nintendo games. Nope. They constantly have to be on the consumerist hype train.
