In his series he spent the majority of his time as a rage driven fool, so i doubt it. He was saved time and time again due to plot armor, something that will not happen in DN universe. At the very least in the premise that OP presented, i picture eren after Death Noting the possible murder suspects of his mother with a smile on his face and getting jailed. I just don't see him being particulary smart or cautious about anything tbh

Light’s body is not fit for war he’d get mogged. Also his personality wouldn’t be a good for the army since I think he’d either talk back to his superiors or very obviously show that he doesn’t like the way they operate.
