Thor v. Superior Court (Andrews) (1993)
Thor v. Superior Court (Andrews) (1993), Supreme Court of California

In contrast to the previous case. Andrew was a prisoner in a State Prison, he tried to commit suicide but went fully paralyzed. He went on a hunger strike to die but the doctor took him to court to forced feed him.
Andrews said "being a quadriplegic in prison is living hell, it's bad enough being immobile, but I can't even have anything I want or am able to see my family, I'm just staring at a wall all day".
The Judge agreed with Andrews, winning him right to refuse treatment, including feeding tubes, giving Andrews the right to die.
