i know the halo effect is what causes attractive people to be hired more for jobs(backed by statistics as well) but why wouldnt they hire more unattractive people of the same sex. this would reduce the competition around them and make it easier for the employers to mog more and give them confidence boosts seeing that they are the amog/afog.

Simple, think about it. To them, if you hire unattractive people, customers will notice and want to do less business and have less satisfaction.
