On occasion I've talked to my mom and little sister about how I no longer know how to find a suitable partner. The bottom line was always that I should socialize more (as if I hadn't thought of that yet). In particular, since I like going for long walks, they suggested joining a hiking club. Seeing how that turned out for le Redittor, I guess it's a good thing I never bothered.

PS When I told my mom and little sis that joining a hiking club for the express purpose of finding a gf is utterly inefficient, they said that that's not the "correct" angle.
