I thought I would bring this up, because it is quite interesting. My theory as to why bluepillers (for example, IT) won't change their stance and sometimes even rationalize things to avoid accepting the more painful truth is supported by these studies and articles. Please give them a read, they are quite insightful on the condition of truth-denying bluepillers.

Indeed, when people’s self-confidence is rattled (when facts intrude?), they may become even more hell-bent on sticking to their beliefs.
As more facts were revealed, the students were reluctant to change their initial estimate, even if the new information overwhelmingly went against their prediction.
“One of the most widely studied psychological biases in human information processing is confirmation bias,” writes Professor Gruca in the research paper, “which is the tendency of individuals to put too much weight on information that confirms their prior views and too little weight on disconfirming information.”
