Study: Men are smarter than women
The research, published in the British Journal of Psychology, establishes that female representatives are smarter until they are 16 years old; between that age and 21 the level is matched and afterwards, they surpass them.

The study, published in the British Journal of Psychology, was led by psychology professors Paul Irwing of the University of Manchester and Richard Lynn of the University of Ulster.
Irwing and Lynn, who in 2003 published a controversial document on the direct relationship between the level of prosperity of 60 countries and the average intellectual coefficient (IQ) of their population, reached this conclusion after analyzing the results of some 20,000 sustained reasoning examinations of university students from around the world.
The research also found differences in intelligence between some races and others, and showed that the number of men with IQ of 125 - typical rate of university graduates - is double that of women.
When the IQ is exceptional and hits 155 points, a level generally associated with genes, the difference between the two sexes increases substantially: 5.5 men for each woman.
Irwing said that the data explain why there are a large number of men "who are distinguished in several fields that require a high IQ, such as chess champions, Nobel Prizes and others."
The size of the brain does matter According to previous studies by Lynn, women are smarter until they are 16 years old; Between that age and 21 the level is matched and afterwards, men surpass them. "Men have a brain ten percent larger in size ... they must necessarily be smarter than women," Lynn said.
But under conditions of IQ parity, women achieve significantly better results. "Some elements suggest that on an equal IQ, women are able to obtain more rewarding results than men, perhaps because they are more aware, meticulous and better cope with long periods of work," explained Irwing.
