Man detained on suspicion of lighting latest fire - Ventura Country Sheriff
Captain Karl Patterson, Watch Commander with Ventura County Sheriff’s office tells the BBC that the LAPD has an arson suspect in custody regarding the Kenneth Fire, and that Ventura County is sending a detective now to question the suspect.
He says the suspect is male and was detained "in the vicinity of the fire, which is why LAPD got there first".

Sometimes when I'm driving through the hilly wooded areas east of SF, I just think to myself that the entire place is a disaster waiting to happen.
We had the Oakland hills fire here a couple decades back. Unlike socal with wide open lanes to escape, its much different in the hills of Berkeley and Oakland with it's narrow winding roads
