There have been studies about how people view race affect career and university choice tremendously instead of just basing it off of merits. Being white is and has always been the best choice when it comes to getting stereotyped. It makes you more likely to secure a job, not less. Affirmative action just makes it less likely, and while I disagree with some aspects of it, it doesn't make white people oppressed all of a sudden.

That is why increasing their chances at education and work is the only reasonable solution. It's a slow process that takes time, and not something that will happen overnight.
