I work in tech, and during COVID I managed to switch to fully remote work. Basically it was a sweet time where you could land a job without actually meeting someone in person. Yeah Zoom calls are a thing, but if you're a turbomanlet like me Zoom calls aren't actually an issue and won't hurt your chances of being hired. It's in person meetings that you want to avoid. So basically it was a very good time and I was making some crazy money at this time, not gonna post it here but it was an insane amount.
Anyways when I was on this team we would have morning meetings where we discussed our tasks for the day. The meetings would start on a playful note where someone asks a question and everyone goes around answering it, e.g., "what's your favorite" breakfast. Anyways this one time a chadlite asked everyone what their heights were, and went on to state he was 6ft2. Then, IMMEDIATELY... like giving me maybe 3 seconds to process what just happened, he passed the question onto me, a subhuman 5ft curry. I stumbled for a bit and managed to compose myself and I said that I am not too tall, maybe around 5ft7 but that I haven't really measured myself, etc. So I feel like I saved face a little, but why the fuck would he asked that? Everyone on my team apart from a foid and an Asian were taller than my 5ft7 made up height, so it was still pretty embarrassing. Thank fuck I managed to compose myself and not tell the truth though, would have totally lost all respect then.
