It's $800 to $900 a month for an apartment in Los Angeles coliving and about $1200 to $1300 for a decent 250sqft apartment with all utilities paid. There are no excuses really. 48 hours is not much so you can add some more hours too. 12 hours a day that's 4 days of work, you're basically wasting 3 days. You could do security those 3 days and just sit.

A power inverter is only $200 or so for like 3000W pure sine wave etc.

Yeah we can't put our hands on people. If you look at the BSIS website which gives you the guard card it literally says your job is to observe and report. People think we're bouncers but no we're not. For certain posts, as authorized by the company, such as being a bouncer, sure, we can get handsy in a certain situation... but those are very rare posts.
Basically the company knows they don't really need a guard, but they need the guard, so they understand the guard won't really give a fuck because the job is truly pointless or they just don't want to pay for the guard to begin with. So both the guard and the company play dumb and just want to avoid liability; the guard just wants to get paid and go home.
