I changed my living situation and no longer room with that bastard but I still know the pin for the communal mailbox, so a month ago I opened it, took out an envelope from his family addressed to him, opened it. It was a card about how good of a son he was and how they miss him. Inside there was a $50 cash bill. I shredded the card and pocketed the money.

No one has said anything since and I doubt they found out.
