My mom was kinda lonely since recently all my dad has been doing is go drink in the basement like a retard, so I asked if we could do something together, something that she'd like and out of all things she said to get some mcdonalds since she hadn't had it in a decade lmao

I went out there and when we began eating it was the cutest thing ever, like my mom has a lot of that cringe geeky millenial attitude in an endearing way, and she got really excited with her burger and it was the cutest thing ever, almost like those cute moe anime girls but on a 48 year old woman

We went back home and there we watched a couple anime episodes of FullMetal Alcuemist, we both liked it and then we went to sleep

That's nice you have a good relationship with her, but in my case I don't have common interests with my mother. She just likes to watch the news and reality TV.

I also have nothing to talk about concerning my own life, as it's just a bunch of depressing empty nothingness, which she is fully aware of.

We exchange basic pleasantries, but unfortunately there's not much of a connection. That goes for all my family members.
