It does depend on the circumstance. In the zombie apocalypse I agree people will have more important things on their minds! But that's not really the situation I'm thinking of.
Yeah, I was initially thinking of a collapse scenario since a lot of "preppers" claim that it will continue to survive as a currency even after that.
Now that I've looked into It, it does seem to be fairly resistent to inflation.
I think it would but... maybe not during the absolute worst times during a collapse. It depends just how desperate people are I guess. I do think that overall it would survive. But yeah if you want to survive that really bad time then you probably would be better off with things like food, tools, ammo, etc.
And yeah commodities tend to resist inflation nicely. Cash is pretty useless tbh XD
Inflation just goes up and it all plummets in value. Crazy.
