I just got done with watching this film in the theater, and while it was your typical "shut off your brain" action superhero movie, I still have some problems with it. Something that was absent from the movie which really needed to be there was a motivation for Thanos. Why was he so fixated on wiping out half of all life in the universe? I know he did it for "balance" and so on, but why would he even care to bestow his "mercy" upon the universe? I heard in the comics he was solicited by Death (a love interest) to kill, but she made no appearance in this movie.

Another gripe I have with the movie is the death of half (or more than half) of the characters at the end due to Thanos's cleansing. I'm not opposed to this, but it's obvious that Disney will have to bring back the beloved characters somehow. It just makes this part of the movie much less impactful when you know Marvel and Disney can't live without their Black Panther and Spider-Man.

To anyone who's seen it, what are your thoughts?

Has no one seen the movie?

They conveniently killed off the insignificant characters imo. I believe the genocides were to keep from overpopulation. Something about finite resources. In terms of “Death”, it looks like they are either going to omit her completely or change up her role in the next movie if she appears.

Yeah, I know it was to keep from overpopulation, but his motive for caring about this wasn't clear at all. Was Death an integral character in the original story?

I didnt read the comics. But from i read, you are right. His motivation for doing any of this is for death.

Lol this nigga kill off half the population for pussy.

It's better than no clear motivation at all I suppose.

Actually, in the movie i think it was implied or told outright (memory unclear) his home world had been screwed over by overpopulation. So it seems that was the motivation for the movie version.

OOHHH yes I remember that. It makes a little more sense now. But, I have to ask this, how were they all surviving on Titan without any respiratory support systems?

"The atmospheric composition in the stratosphere is 98.4%nitrogen—the only dense, nitrogen-rich atmosphere in the Solar System aside from Earth's—with the remaining 1.6% composed mostly of methane (1.4%) and hydrogen (0.1–0.2%)."

There is obviously no answer. It's just movie logic.

I think Death will appear in some way shape or form in the next movie. And it was too convenient to kill off the minor characters. I think they want Cap and Stark to make up and work together. However, I think it'd been more emotionally impactful if one of them had died. Maybe in the next movie they will.

im gonna wait until i can find the movie on one of those free websites. I don't have money to see it in theaters

why the fuck would you PAY to watch this normie trash I ought to behead you

I'm not going to turn down a free ticket to a fancy theater with reclining chairs.

Overall, the movie was okay. The death scene didn't mean much to me since it's obvious the characters are going to come back somehow and the scene when Thor brutally amogged Star-lord on his own ship was brutal, it reminded me of what I go through on a daily basis. The next movie should be cool though.

How did you get a free ticket?

that's the biggest problem with these movies. They never have the balls to kill off any major characters.
Still this was probably the first decent movie in a while. At least there was no feminist/SJW bullshit

They are trying to make as much money as possible so I doubt they will stay dead for long

Didn’t Jesus die in that movie?

Typical crap movie for the normie masses.

Just saw this movie last night. Went by myself, of course.

I am a complete normie when it comes to comic books so I do not know shit about these heroes other than the fact that they exist. Thanos was the most relatable character for me, I am happy he got what he wanted in the end but you know there is going to be some bullshit in the next movie that'll turn back time and let the heroes win yet again.

I can't believe how many of the Guardians brought it at the end. I knew as soon as i heard they were making The Guardians of the Galaxy that they were doing Thanos and an Infinity stone story. I've been looking forward to this for years. Only to kill most of the Guardians anyway.

Not everything was quite how i thought it would be. I thought there would be better banter between Stark and Starlord.

The one problem with adding Death and giving Thanos a motivation is that it would probably add 20 minutes to the movie. The normies wouldn't sit through that or understand it either.

Disappointments:
No hawkeye.
Captain Marvel will probably be a Mary Sue.
I have to wait a year for part 2.

Did you mind explaining who Captain Marvel is? I've never heard of it until now.

Sum female with alien powers, just think of a weakened down Supergirl

JFL at people getting emotional at the death scenes. We all know they’re coming back, except Gamora unless her soul is trapped in the soul stone or something

Who could even get emotional? I can't imagine being so fragile.

I was viewing a Reddit thread and people were talking about how they were literally crying over Spider-Mans last words

It was maybe a little sad, but nothing worth crying over. He's been a character in only like two movies, and that doesn't mean shit because marvel movies have little to no character development.

I liked the movie. I wasn't crying or anything. All I've been seeing is dumb thanos memes. All I see on YouTube is stuff talking about the movie. This is going to go on until Deadpool comes out. Then more normie memes.

I know I've seen Guardians of the Galaxy. The blackpill permeates into everything.

The pacing was awful, it was like they didn't even try to have any kind of flow. A movie SHOULD have buildup, release, tension, etc, a quiet part and then a big showdown or whatever. Two and a half hours of uninterrupted CGI action scenes with explosions and lasers and shit all over the place doesn't excite me more, it excites me less, it's boring. Like, well, what's going to happen next, one of these characters is going to say a corny joke and then there'll be another CGI action sequence just like the last one.

The Justice League had similar storyof retrieving small items they called mother boxes to become the ultimate power but they wrapped it up in one movie.

Since Hollywood is run by Satanists I think the agenda being pushed is overpopulation, maybe they are signaling some mass extinction event soon, they brought up the gravitational magnetic field in the movie and recent news talks about this to.

The Earth has a fierce molten core that generates a magnetic field capable of defending our planet against devastating solar winds. This magnetic field is vital to life on Earth and has weakened by 15 percent over the last 200 years. This protective field acts as a shield against harmful solar radiation andextends thousands of miles into space and its magnetism affects everything from global communication to power grids.
Historically, Earth’s North and South magnetic poles have flipped every 200,000 or 300,000 years. However, the last flip was about 780,000 years ago, meaning our planet is well overdue. The latest satellite data, from the European Space Agency’s Swarm trio which monitors the Earth’s magnetic field, suggest a pole flip may be imminent. The satellites allow researchers to study changes building at the Earth’s core, where the magnetic field is generated. Their observations suggest molten iron and nickel are draining the energy out of the Earth’s core near where the magnetic field is generated. While scientists aren’t sure why exactly this happens, they describe it as a “restless activity” that suggests the magnetic field is preparing to flip. –SHTFPlan
