Discussion Speech Impediment / Stuttercels gtfih

I got made fun of by my classmates over zoom for my speech impediment today. Mine isn’t even that bad tbh. I think it’s just a symptom of my Schizophrenia or retardation. I just don’t do placeholders in speech (no ummms or uhhhs), so I’ll just pause in silence and stared vacantly while I think of what to say. It doesn’t really cause a scene, but everyone treats me like I’m retarded.

Anybody got any life hacks so I don’t make a fucking fool of myself whenever I open my mouth? Any stories of how your manner of talking fucked you over?

Even still to this day I can't get out a single sentence without speaking too fast or stuttering so hard I can't get the word out.
Stuttercels are truly cursed.

i have to repeat my sentences often because i speak too fast and quiet

everyone made fun of it, the teachers, classmates, boss, coworkers jfl
they all deserve to be ER'd (in minecraft)

I was making my argument andmy opponent did an exaggerated version of my voice when he was up and everyone laughed

same, I had and still got a severe lisp so I never learnt how to talk with people because they always made fun of me
this had an impact later on how I would express myself
