Empathy is about understanding what other person feels, who they are, their motives and what they're going through. Reacting with mothering instincts to crying babies/someone who's perceived as a victim/cute, neoteneous things, is not empathy. I agree, and I would go as far as to say most women have either almost no empathy at all, or when they do, it is extremely selective. They show "empathy" when it flatters their self-image or benefits them socially, but it rarely extends beyond that. Take how they rally for migrants, criminals, or anyone they are told is "vulnerable," yet show nothing but contempt for ordinary men struggling around them. Their concern is not about suffering itself, but about the social payoff of being seen on the "right" side. The same women who gush over stray animals or third-world charities have no issue turning their backs on men they know personally.
