It's acceptable to be mean towards nerds because nerds supposedly have 'superiority complex' but when athletes and sportsmen act like they are God's gift to the world its perfectly acceptable.
They are allowed to feel superior and act arrogant but if nerds feel superior because of their knowledge then it's the end of the world and they need to be put in their place.
