In my opinion confession is very good. I used to think that all those stories about opening up to someone and things like that were stupid, but it really helps. But after confession the hardest period is waiting for you. You will be tempted, and very strongly. You will feel pain, which is a good sign. Your body may shake from the lack of it, but you cannot give in. I know it’s very hard at that moment. One important thing that changes a lot, I experienced it myself, is doing the smallest things every day. I started by reading one verse from the Bible, then a few verses a few times a day, and later whole chapters. The same with prayer, first short in the morning and evening, then short a few times during the day, until I started praying longer. Starting with really small things is important, especially with this kind of addiction, because it doesn’t require long focus, which can be difficult with this addiction. It doesn’t matter how many times you fall, what matters is that you don’t think that if you fail once or a few times, you should give up.
11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.
13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to the death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."
Romans8, 11-15
(imo if u want to read Bible it's best to start from New testimony.)
Don’t forget these words, no addiction is stronger than God. When you pray, don’t use only prayers like the Our Father and things like that. Pray in your own words, tell God what you ask Him for, what you thank Him for, how your day went, and what is troubling you. If you have more questions, write to me.

I almost understood that I would give up on everything when I fell again.
