This phrase is almost always used in one form or another by someone attempting to dismiss one's vocal frustrations/jealousy over the quality of someone else's life portrayed virtually.
And it is true that social media distorts reality, due to the control the up loader has over what he/she posts, but at some point in time, you have to take a deep breath, and accept the fact that you can't continue to deny the proof of how often your "peers" engage in activities that mog you.
EvER wondered how that one girl in high school managed to get all sorts of attention online as indicated by her absurdly high snap chat score, whereas several months may had passed before someone even bothered to check up on you through the app?
EvER noticed that your one friend who is seen as attractive by girls is visible with them just as much on Instagram as they are when not connected to the internet?
EvER realized that one friend group you orbited back in high school talk about all these kick ass parties they attended which you vehemently denied out of the insecurity you had towards the possibility that they may had gotten fucked up with hot bitches, only to realize they had been documenting it each and every time in their private group chats?
EvER got hit with a brutal reality check while stalking your oneitis social media thinking "Nah, she's too much of a prude to be pumped silly by Chad", only to stumble across her status on Facebook showing her with a beta male who has more to offer her in life than you ever could?
EvER came to the conclusion that you have been coming across all these scenarios so many times, you lost count?
It's because they all have STATUS, they all have FRIENDS, they are all NT, and last but not least, they are not UGLY....
...UNLIKE YOU!
Just because their lives can only (partially) be observed online DOES NOT make the rate of which they actually LIVE it any less factual, and if you still under the impression that the examples provided still don't happen as often as you would like to believe after reading this, YOU ARE BLUEPILLED!
