Social media is centered around instant gratification and constant dopamine. I could never be on there.

I wouldn't say unrestrained they have gotten much stricter over the years especially Reddit and YouTube. Algorithms yeah they are addictive my main motive for not using them is because of how much data they collect on yiu and the privacy implications of it selling it to data brokers.
