I don't know if you're religious or not, but personally I was living in a total-celibacy (no masturbation) mode for a couple of years when I was religious myself. But once you realise that probably god doesn't exist and that it's most likely that we live in a naturalistic universe. And, most importantly - that it's a normal sexual activity - the shame just vanishes. Just don't watch porn with it
