I was just thinking about body types and it occurred to me that assuming no exercise... being a framecel usually goes hand in hand with being skinnyfat. If a guy has a low bodyweight, but isn't a framecel, he's usually just skinny rather than being skinnyfat.
 
I'm skinny fat and have a small frame, it seems to be the case on the whole.

That's how I was, I weighed 104 pounds when I left school then got older t levels lower, store more abdominal fat and skinny arms and legs. You have that to come, maybe if I could turn back the clock I'd have hit the gym consistently then roid in a few years down the line.

Not really. "Ectomorphs" (I know you can't put people in three body types, but it depicts the body of a lot of people) tend to have narrow shoulders and they are usually quite lean. My brother has been lean all his life and he has narrow shoulders (nowhere near as bad as Zyros, though) and wrists. His metabolism is super good, can eat whatever he wants and not put on weight. I see a lot of skinny guys with smaller frames.

Skinny fat usually entails a person who is not very active (lack of muscle mass) and has a non-ideal diet (eats too much at times, but doesn't eat enough to become fat) and has an average to below average metabolism. Average/above metabolism + active = no way to be skinny fat, unless terrible hormonal profile.

You'll also become skinny fat if you diet and lose a lot of weight without working out (lose muscle).

I doubt that will ever happen because I eat a whole foods plant based diet.I know how.to eat well in order to prevent that

Body types are mostly bullshit, it's just a way to classify people and put them in a box. We're more varied than that. You're a lean guy with broad shoulders, that's what you are.

Best combo for aesthetics is actually: Broad shoulders (not too broad), small waist and hips, small joints (just lol at people who whine about wrist size) and rounded muscle bellies, plus some steroid use. If you have that (and a face that doesn't suck too much), you can become an Instagram model.

Jeff Seid is the best example of this: small wrist and waist, broad shoulders and rounded muscle bellies. When you combine that with roids, you have an insane physique.

Not really, it can be much more than that tbh. I used to think there was a minor difference, but it can be quite high, especially if you compare it with someone who has a below average metabolism.

You're mostly right, but still, the difference in metabolism between people can be quite high, even when we account for differences in weight and height.

Everyone who is skinny could of course put on weight by eating more, but some have to eat more than others.

We also have to take into account the ability to store fat. Some people have really efficient bodies that don't store as much fat as easily. This coupled with a good metabolism is godlike for bodybuilding. Those types of people, when they learn to eat enough food, are able to gain very much muscle with minimal fat gains, while others gain lots of fat with their muscle.

Framecel here, I'm apparently skinny fat. Think I look pretty normal weight wise though tbh...the vast majority of the population is 'skinny fat' really.
 
High testosterone=wide frame
High testosterone=low body fat, high muscle mass, less likely to be a skinny fat.
You can see the relationship between them.

ive never met a true 'mesomorph', just skinny dudes who force fed themselves a lot of protein and their calories in were more than their calories out (+tons of protein+excersize) AKA clean bulk

btw im pretty sure that a body that stores fat is more efficent, 88% of humans iirc need to be active to burn fat, which obviously means its a good thing evolutionary, if theres a food shortage the 12% who maintain low bf% without sports are going to die first

obviously, but to say its efficent isnt very fitting, especially since they gain muscle just as fast as the normal person, just without much fat cuz they barely eat
