from what I have read you just get dizzy / blurry vision and pass out. then you keep breathing while unconscious and die some time later.

No, not really. I don't think there is a single company that sells SN commercially even though possessing SN is completely legal.
This is the best option if you have access to it. Easy, fast, and you most likely won't survive if you aim correctly.
