Silent Hill F doesn't even look like a Silent Hill game. I saw the good reviews and still didn't purchase the game on the grounds of not looking like a real Silent Hill game. Just looks like traditional Japanese horror like Fatal Frame.

As a kid I only enjoyed the horror atmosphere but never gave a flying fuck about the story of the game. I didn't even watch any cutscenes. Skipped them all. I've only played some of 1 and 2. Never even finished them.

Yeah, never really liked SH games either. When playing them, especially SH2, I always got the feeling Team Silent were more pretentious artists than actual game designers. The gameplay always felt secondary, like it was just there as a framework for their artistic vision.
Like I've said before, I've never finished any SH game.
In fact, even the horror shit got boring because it made no sense, since I've skipped the cutscenes as a kid.
