4 years dude, the north had 5x the manpower and industry and it still took 4 years, and then they lost anyway due to the klan.
what four years is a extremely short time for wars of that size at the time between two nations with modern equipment. and it takes time to mobilize. they were doomed to fail from the very start.
It wasn’t for states rights to have and own slaves it was for states rights to secede. If it was for slaves Lincoln would’ve said so, but he didn’t and only did it in 1863.

yeah but they did die for the government when they rebelled against the union, the plantation owners were practically the people running the local state governments, to the extent that slaves made up almost 50% of the population of some southern states.
The plantation owners were fearing the end of slavery because it would make the labor heavy plantation jobs almost unprofitable because they did not have the technology we have today.

Even if true states have a right to secede given to them by the constitution. That’s what it was really about. The states tried a constitutional secession and Lincoln declared war, that’s northern aggression plain as day
States have no right to suceed from the union even if they wanted, there is no legal right given to them to do so, the only pretext to it was the attack on the institution of slavery according to them, thus infringing on their rights according to them because as they stated it was a central part to their states.
Abolishing slavery is not an infringement in their right since owning another human in perpetuity due to them being born under you is not a right just like how I have no right to declare a stolen item as my property.

the south lost because slavery is a failure in every way, they thought that niggers would overthrow the government and enslave them back, but when it didnt happen they tried justify the war with " states rights" but it was about the states right to own slaves.
