Venting Sick of over-moderation on the Internet

Mainly on websites like Reddit and Discord. I'm tired of walking on eggshells whenever I say something, worried that some overzealous moderator on a power-trip will misinterpret what I say or outright ban me. The worst part is there's little to no recourse or solution to this issue, just cross your fingers and hope your appeal will be read by someone who isn't an asshole.

Reddit is by far the worst social media platform in terms of this shit. I miss when the Internet was decentralized and forums were run by people who actually gave a shit about their community. I swear, Reddit/Discord mods feel like the next evolution of "wannabe cop" security guards. It pisses me off!

The last time Reddit "permanently suspended" my account I didn't even try to create a new account. I just stay logged into my suspended account and don't post anything anymore. That site is so neutered now. It used to be pretty much the primary website for me for a good 15 years. I've given up.
