the problem is that this kind of trends tend to be overblown by media, youtubers, motivational blogs, etc. I think cold showers could have a positive effect on you though, it takes balls to step into a cold shower and getting used to it so it helps to develop courage and will power (you WON'T become an alpha male doing it though) and it is a very effective way to activate you and wake you up in the morning.
