We have more
Almost the size of several European nations

We need to reduce the farmlands and build 100 new cities with a population of atleast 10 million so 3*100 1 billion people living and working in new mega cities

Right now only 3 percent of India's land is used for urban growth if just take 5 percent more lands from the
ariable land pool

It would be more than enough to House 1 billion people in modern cities with a population density of Los Angeles
