One thing is the Taliban actually defeated America & allies in Afghanistan. Which although it was hard for the US & co. to really enforce Afghanistan, its still an impressive feat.
Something I noticed is the Taliban they aren't corrupt. If they were corrupt the US could have just bought them off to some sort of deals.
Another aspect is while people online are angry that the Taliban moderated, it could be seen another way - getting more sophisticated and making some that can last.
