I used to have long hair since middle school. It was never a subculture thing, I just like the look.
Later I fell for the looksmaxing meme and cut it. Femoids seemed more fond of it, but the eternal babyface can't be helped: I have a choice of looking like a little girl with grown-up man's body or Kim Jong-Un wannabe.
There are some practical advantages to keeping hair short, namely not using a shit ton of shampoo, but you have to get a haircut every month or so to keep it somewhat manageable (I have Semitic-tier hair: it's insanely thick, it grows fast and if it decides to become wavy or curly at some part, it can't be helped). In case of long hair, you have to cut it every 6 month or so and it still looks good enough (as far as being a long-haired dude with babyface is concerned).
I don't experience any balding and it's improbable that I will in the near future. I wouldn't go as autistic this time, because having it almost reach your butt is extremely impractical, but I could rock a medium-length (a bit above the shoulders) hairstyle. It'd be neither practical (the most practical option would be shaving it clean) nor appealing to the femoids, but it'd certainly help my self esteem.
I know it's peculiar, but keeping my hair short remains a constant reminder that at some point I thought that altering my looks and personality is a good way to appeal to the femoids. I've given up all hope: there's probably a higher chance that I'd come across a girl with some weird fetish for this look than fitting the normie beauty standards.
I might as well maximize comfort and growing my hair out again would help with it. I had a dream recently where God gave me a bunch of mirrors which showed different versions of me and I looked at the long-haired childish-looking version and was like 'damn, I wish'.
Any other long-haired incels here? Should I go with it?

Yeah do it. Having long hair is awesome.

I've had long hair for a few years up until early this year, past my shoulders, but cut it due to frustration... Growing it, back out.

only if you have a decent sized skull, midface and face width.

i find long hair less maintenance than short hair, just get it trimmed once per year

I don't really care if women are less attracted to long hair on a guy, when I had short hair I didn't get any interest anyway. I feel like having long hair as a guy nowdays is a bit more unique

I had long hair once, but it got annoying after a while so I got it cut. Might try to grow it out again sometime.

I decided to grow my hair out for the first time when I was 15. Since then, I've gotten it cut short a few times. I even got the Hitler youth haircut in 2012 back when it was still a hipster thing, but every time, I've ended up going back to having it long, so a couple of years ago, I just said fuck it and I've kept it long ever since. I do get it trimmed down a bit like once a year, but I'm never going back to having short hair. I have a feeling that we'll see long hair on guys become popular like in the 70's again soon. I already see the undercut as a bit of an outdated style. I'll be honest, my hair has gradually gotten thinner and thinner on top over the years, but I'll only shave it off when I'm full on balding.

Let me guess, you got sick of it blowing in your face? You can always slick it back or tie it in a ponytail. I used to tie mine in a ponytail last year because it was really long at the time.

legit ive seen guys go from having undercuts to manbuns to long hair (growing it out their sides this time).

a lot of guys are going with or shooting for the long hair style right now.

Are you from the US? I've heard guys have started associating undercuts with the alt-right over there, so they've started growing their hair long to differentiate themselves from them. That hasn't started on a wide scale here in the UK yet, but whatever starts trending in the US finds its way over here soon after. I personally started growing my hair out to differentiate myself from the chavs in my area.

If you have hair, enjoy it, grow it out. Take it from a baldcel, if you ever lose it, you will miss it.

Nah, just got sick of having to maintain it. I did put it in a bun a few times, but never a ponytail.

Not from the US. I'm an Aussie.

Probably, but the trend is dying out culturally.

Yeah having long hair adds a lot of uniqueness. Even if every guy has long hair, some of our hair curl patterns could differ from each other. It will be soon that a lot of guys will have long hair.

Sorry to hear about that.

Anyways, have you heard about this: http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2018-05-09/scientists-find-potential-baldness-cure/9744334 ? I'm guessing they're going to put it on-hold or make it available for rich people first.

Definitely grow it long, just get a tight pony tail tie and keep it tidy. If your hair starts receding, buy yourself a razor and get a good pal to shave your hair every 4 weeks.

Long hair is good in your late 20's and 30's it shows that you have good genetics and roasties will dump a balding husband for a guy with hair.

Most men can't pull off long hair tbh

Ah, I see. You have the whole surfer scene over there and bogans have also traditionally had long hair, so I guess that could explain it. Here in the UK, it's mainly just nerds and metalheads that you see with long hair these days, although you do still see a few hipsters rocking man buns every now and then.

Long hair is the mark of nobility.
For it shows one lives doing little physical labor but rather, leads with majesty.

I have fine hair and it tangles like a bitch! I keep it short now. Luckily for OP his hair is thick and Semitic.
