Takara Tomy is a Japanese company so all the design stuff happens over there. They make these figures for the Japanese market.

But they typically produce the figures in either China or Vietnam.

I found it for like $120 so I will pick it up. Rlly nice price for official MP figure. They are going to make more repaints next year so I shall wait for those to get a huge discount as well
