Squinting is cope if you don't also furrow your brows and it's absolutely useless if you don't have deep set eyes and enough upper eyelid fat.
Just squinting is not enough, it'll make you look asian or down syndrome.
The most important "hunter eye" feature is eyebrows being close to your eyes and having that fatty skin fold partially covering your upper eyelids. Blackops2cel also has a massive gap between his prey eyes and his eyebrows and he doesn't have enough skin and fat above his eyelids.
You don't even want to squint too much. You should squint just enough to "flatten" your eyes and make them less round, but it's not that important.

Gandi is squinting and furrowing here, but he gets away with it because he has almost no upper eyelid exposure and his eyebrows are very close to his eyes. He isn't just squinting, he is forcing his eyebrows closer to his eyes aka furrowing, but it's a very delicate thing and it takes a lot of practice. Furrowing also makes that fold more prominent.
Most male models squint. Nick Squintman is a great example of overdoing it. He has a good eye area, but he doesn't need to squint as much as he thinks he does.
