Should I buy XBOX console or save up for gaming PC?

Xbox Game Pass has become too expensive due to Starfield.

For singleplayer games console is really good. If you wouldn't piratemaxx on PC then disc games on consoles are definitely cheaper than on Steam or whatever on PC. It's comfy af just powering on the console and playing ngl, though I wish I bought a good PC instead

PC. Xbox isn't free online wise and has far less options when it comes to games. You can also use an Xbox controller on PC.

I think OP was refering to the original Xbox + a stack of used games, not the Xbone.

If you have decent connection you can play using geforce-now or boosteroids, xbox also has cloud platform. Currently I play trine 5 on geforce now and it works very well. You dont need very good pc to play it, but I did buy two pads - xbox and playstation 5. Also, I play it on the TV connected to 12 year old laptop.
