Back before sexual revolution - people weren't talking about sex, because it was taboo - not without reason. In XIX and XX centuries, most common motive in art was nature's beauty, and technological progress. Art, hard work and scientific progress was object of common adoration and persecution.
However, things started to fuck up - first with sexual revolution and contraception pill, where everyone got a green light to fuck with anyone - but that wasn't enough. Back then promiscuity was limited to edgy hippie groups who were partying with drugs and shit.
The worst shit happened - when these edgy hippies grew up, and started to take over seats of culturemakers CEO's - then they started to enforce disgusting nudity and promiscuity in TV shows, movies, music, books, and later - video games. And that was the main turning point.
Together with obscenic nudity - culture started to decay into disgusting stinky blob. Postmodernist art is bland, ugly, stupid and effortless. Modern pop music is just recording of foid havin sex who's repeating constantly "Oh yeah baby, oh yeah baby" or dumb nigger rapper who talks shit about drugs, bitches, expensive cars.

So what i am thinking about this? We're enslaved - there's no more persecuting personal beauty, or ideas. Everyone HAS to had SEX - because if you don't, then you're an incel. And even if you'll try to live your life - you'll be raped by disgusting posters/billboards or random public events including modern sexual culture - like gay parades or teasing you about someone's prononuns. Or by acquiantances, coworkers, family - you'll be even a laughing stock for them, if you say having > 1 sexual partner is abnormal.

Mostly agreed, though I'd point out that provocative and erotic art has definitely existed even before the sexual revolution. But I like the last line:

Obviously, we'd still be yearning for love and relationships, but if society weren't so obsessed with sex, it would be much easier to cope with not having it.

A couple of years ago, I looked into whether erotic thrillers were indeed dying out or if it was just availability bias due to the fact that the main examples which come to mind are mostly from the 1980s.

I'll recall an example, not ideal though because sex exist there. I've played CP2077, and i expected something like in anime - total vulgarity, no brakes, gangbangs on the streets.
What do i got? Man protag with an option of gently asking other man, to kiss him, or "Sex workers", or asking one person why doesn't he date his colleague (which i thought is joke/satire) but apparently, he started to explaining, that he's not gay and why's hetero.
This is complete brainrot and brainwashing. Especially - enforcing sexuality while being "nice and clean" with it, just not to offend some snowflakes.

One extra thing came into my mind. Before this bullshit "gay-awareness" with parades and shit, men were actually very touchy with themselves, without being gays. Images of soldiers/politicians/workers etc. kissing, hugging themselves from pure enjoyment of their company (not gayness) were very common, and the most known examples are commie leaders or WW2 soldiers being touchy with themselves. My grandfather still sometimes gives me cheek - kiss during meeting (90 yo turtle).

Back then, no one hasn't problem with this, because this gay brainwashing propaganda wasn't existing, and by default - every man was heterosexual.
