You know what's funny? Only fans of normalfag shounens feel the need to act as if these shows were written by Shakespeare. I've never seen a Hellsing or Black Lagoon fan act like this. They accept that their shows are meant for fun and the action is purely for entertainment and they don't feel the need to pretend otherwise.

i do get what you mean. a lot of people tend to dismiss shounen anime for not having any deeper themes in favor of seinen anime just cause seinen can afford to display more adult themes (not exactly well may i add) but they can be there. i would say full metal alchemist, jjk, tokyo ghoul, bluh bluh are all better written and made than 99% of seinen anime despite being shounen.
there like people who think grim dark fantasies are better than the lord of the rings just cause there's more death and rape in them. most will grow out of it
