Description: SCP-2025-L is an anomalous phenomenon affecting popular discussion websites, notably ███████████ and https://4chan.org/. The medium in which SCP-2025-L manifests is through posts. The usernames of the accounts posting about SCP-2025-L are randomly scrambled sets of letters and numbers, often noted as gibberish. Foundation attempts to locate any of the users have proved unsuccessful.
The content in the posts revolves around a picture depicting a young man and his w̶a̶i̶f̶u̶pillow, Rika Furude, from the popular television series: Higurashi: When They Cry. Additionally, most recorded individuals seem to express some degree of familiarity with SCP-2025-L, with some claiming to know him.a̶s̶ ̶"̶l̶o̶o̶p̶c̶e̶l̶.̶"̶ All of the posts are humorous in nature, and research has concluded this is intentional.
Anomalous effects begin to take place once a person laughs at any of the content in the posts about SCP-2025-L. Affected individuals report an extreme obsession with Higurashi and its respective spin-offs the following days after laughing. In some extreme cases, persons will refuse to stop consuming Higurashi content to the point of organ failure from lack of water and food.
