Is this really saying that, according to the median, only about 20% of people have an inner voice?

How can this be? It's insanity. I mean, it would explain EVERYTHING while at the same time being somewhat horrifying tbh. And I wonder if autists would get different results.

People without an inner voice shouldn't be allowed to breed.

EDIT: Something I remember is that at the beginning school years, I gigamogged my peers in academics. The gap was pretty ridiculous. But this gap closed overtime, as if others "learned" how to succeed academically, but for me it came naturally. So most of these people are just memorizing and learning how to emulate thinking, but they can't actually communicate with themselves?

Im not sure if this article is accurate. If someone doesnt have an inner voice how to they make more complicated decisions? And for the visualization part of this experiment I can imagine objects in full detail and draw them. Ive met normies that literally couldnt draw, not as in they dont have the skills and draw a crappy example of whatever they are thinking, but couldnt put anything on the paper besides a stick figure- after seeing someone else draw one. And alot of people are like this so they might actually be NPCs.. though im not sure if lacking visualization necessarily means they are lacking self awareness.

Does anyone really see a perfect red apple?

when I close my eyes I see black. If I keep them closed long enough I can get kaleidoscopic visions. But I don’t see a bright red apple in the middle as if it’s floating in a vacuum. I can still visualize myself like walking up to the counter in my kitchen, picking up an apple, eating it, etc. it’s in high definition but kind of tunnel visioned.. This isn’t normal?

I'm not a good artist though. Well, maybe not horrible either. I can do more than stick figures.

This might have less to do with imagination and more to do with limitations in other areas. For example, my handwriting isn't very neat and I can't write well in cursive. Deficiencies in fine motor skills are probably the limiting factor here when it comes to drawing figures on paper.

Just look at how neat many femoids can write. Fine motor skills certainly don't mean jack shit when it comes to inner voice JFL.
