Being constantly-monitored by an aide in high school was bad enough. If I were in high school now, I would probably have footage of me reviewed at the end of each day in the principal's office and I would be required to wear a GPS-tracker.

This is another thread, but Google has really been pure evil this year. I just about went on a rampage when I heard that Google was going to lock down Android phones to prevent sideloading.
Even though having a custom ROM on your phone bypasses this nonsense by Google, this probably means that fewer third-party developers are even going to bother making apps you can sideload anymore since the number of people who put custom ROMs on their phones is less than 1%.

The automatic update fucked up my normie phone. They previously shoved that (unremovable) contact tracing, tracker app on me. (I deleted the folder.) Even so the ble mesh network is unnamed and hard to find. (Find my device?)
I trust nothing electronic these days. But alt os'es offer at least the hope of privacy.

Schools are useful but only for the type of person (ideally foid, high IQ, social, interested in learning but needing guidance) they're built around.
