In the past before Columbine school shootings were relatively unknown and not seen as likely, so kids would bully the loser/ “quiet kid” of the class relentlessly without fear or retribution. This could often lead to the loser commuting facing big mental health problems or committing suicide.

Nowadays with all the famous school shootings, kids are more scared of the “quiet kid” so they’re more likely to stay away rather than risk making him go crazy and snap, so bullying has overall gone down as a result. Ironically, a lot of lives have probably been saved because the loser kids don’t commit suicide as much from the relentless bullying. I don’t condone violence though this is all in a video game.
