Curries may worship cows but in pre brithong era curries were more based and women hating than muslims, widow remarriage and divorces were not allowed, whereas in Islam these two are openly practiced with clerical assistance and support, Islam in modern context may look regressive but compared to what it replaced and what it stands for it's more progressive than most religions that it replaced, zorastrians for instance had many more weird stuff that's lost to history including cow worship and ritual urine consumption of cows
