Relatively new project I've been working on, grain of salt. I think this is by no means optimal or recommended, think of it as a possible stepping stone if you're having problems with rage and/or anxiety. For real advice look elsewhere.

Rather than wasting energy and/or making everything even worse with rage and anxiety, sadnessmaxxing may be the preferred response to pain/failure/unmet wants/needs. Whether it be life-long lack or split-second gaming catastrophies, it makes sense to save energy whilst allowing yourself to gather your thoughts and plan a reasonable course of action, or just hang out in a non-frantic mind state. I believe it's a skill that can be easy to learn, as well. One way I practice is playing rage-inducing online games, made some good progress in just one day, from having to quit to not smash something to bits to being able to stick to the game for long time periods. Another way may be to do it in response to seeing a drippy hoe up on dat street.

How to:
1. Don't think of yourself as in a competitive, or even necessarily social, environment with other agents you can influence. (Hyperfocus on your own tragic experience).
2. Instantly assume you want to calmly figure something out if something doesn't work/something bad happens, rather than jump to action right away.
3. Low energy is the first key, sadness is impossible if you're energized, slow down.
4. Low investment is the second key. It's already over, it's ridiculous to psych yourself out into performing even worse for some shit that will barely help you.
5. Don't agonize/torture yourself with additional pain, crying is not the same as sadness. We're going for a state that saves energy and allows for productive thinking.
6. You should feel kinda physically relaxed and comfy in the background.
7. Slow/sad music.
8. Be less intolerant of various phenomena by seeking to understand why things happen.

If you're not as far gone as me, or a normie lurker, you can opt to "relax" or feel "peaceful" instead of sad.

Additional sporadic thoughts: Sadness has a more mature quality to it than anger and anxiety. Anger/anxiety I believe will still be there if they're really necessary to mobilize energy (emergencies, etc). Can't believe I post this high effort and the thread might die within 30 minutes, it's over. Might be good to always start with identifying if the sadnessmaxxing instance will be mostly vibe or mostly problem solving. My posture only looks natural when I'm so sad I'm basically in gooner posture. This seems to go hand in hand with exhaustionmaxxing. Caffeine and stimulant limitations? Don't do when u need energy and shit?

How about 10? What's the plan here, maybe I should spam shit in sewers instead?

I let the sadness and suicidal thoughts overcome me, i dont have the strength anymore to fight it off.

Self pity maxxing is what I do as well

I don't really include it specifically, does it bring you any benefits? I imagine it could at least move you away from self-blame, but hopefully leaving room for analyzing mistakes and making corrections.

There is some truth to this. For example when I'm angry I tend to try the same strategy, but this time stronger or faster. It's better to accept that the current strategy is not working and to try something else.
