Head of "family protection committee" announced the initiative of "unnamed activists".

Main idea: put all unmarried men that didn't date for a 3 months of a "police black list". Then send them to war, jail or forced labor. They literally stated

"Marriage or GULAG"

For those who don't know what russian law making system is: they propose random marginal ideas through low class politicians, then gather reaction.


Next they could propose the law and putin will sign it.

This time it was member of parliament. Russian government doesn't condemn such words. People think it's fucking joke

Putin is independent of public opinion - he doesn't give a fuck, he does what he wants because he has millions of police officers and the National Guard who will destroy any enemy of Putin.

At any given time in any country the police is outnumbered many times by the peasants and it can snowball, it's always risky if you go against lots of people in society.

What else is there to risk ? The standard of living in Russia has been stagnating since 2013, and most Russians are already poor by Western standards. However, in September 2022 in partical mobilization, they were conscripted into the war, and everyone endured it.

I know but they also did the civil war so there is that, it's a risk and putin these days looks more risk averse than previously to me. I don't believe this law will get implemented.

Being poor means more risk for the government, not less. Partial is the keyword, it's nothing like going after ALL unmarried men which is too wild. It unites too much people against the government.

The Jews started the civil war in order to seize power from the former aristocracy. Now that the Jews have been in power since 1917, they are satisfied with their situation. The Russians are incapable of self-organization without an iron fist. The only reason for the Bolsheviks' victory is their brutal treatment of their own soldiers, where soldiers were executed en masse for cowardice in the Red Army, making them fear their commanders more than their enemies.

In Sviyazhsk, Lev Trotsky issued an order stating that commissars and commanders of units fleeing the front would be shot on the spot. Trotsky surrounded a steamship carrying worker-soldiers, forced the rebels to surrender, and executed not only the commander and commissar of the unit, but also every tenth soldier. During the Civil War, the Red Army executed regimental commanders, brigade commanders, and every tenth soldier for desertion.

They don't even need to be organized centrally, going after such a large group and their circles will bring civilian disobedience at the very least and probably localized skirmishes and trouble, russia is already in the gutter so i can't see them dealing with that well.
