With jumping, you're certainly assuring your death. You'll feel it for just a second, supposedly. It'll be quite the mess for the clean-up technicians, so there's that. Obviously, make sure it's high enough. I've got the bridge picked out myself in my area, it's pretty notorious for jumpers and it's overlooking the city, making for a scenic death.
