Pretty much. I think I gave him a listen, but I couldn't get into it as soon as I heard his voice. At least the instrumentals reminded me of a 90s midwest emo band. And by emo I don't mean My Chemical Romance, but American Football, Mineral, etc. Slow, depressing indie rock, basically.
