The only thing that matters when it comes to determining whether your height is 'acceptable', is whether or not females find your height acceptable. This is where the 80/20 rule comes in. Sure there are cases where being avg height (5'10) is enough, if you have a decent face and frame to go along with it. But in general, 5'10 is not an "attractive" height.

I have been to south europe a few times on vacation, and the difference in how females treat me is quite big. Height matters a ton.
