My father was telling me about a guy that was in his fraternity in college (yes, my dad is a Chad). We’ll call him Dave.
Dave came from a very wealthy family. His father started a successful business and used the profits to buy dozens of apartment complexes. They were multimillionaires.
He, and all his siblings, had fat trust funds big enough to live off the interest forever (called nestegging).
Dave never got a job. Dave never got married or had a real relationship. Dave never had kids. The closest thing Dave ever had to a real job was being a personal trainer for a bit. Dave is very fit because he has literally nothing else to do all day except workout.
Anyways, Dave’s parents are dead now, and none of his siblings had any children. Dave apparently struggles with depression or whatever because he’s literally never done anything with his life despite having unlimited resources.
What a joke. Bust your ass to give your kids the perfect wealth, and they do nothing except engage in hedonism and sloth for a lifetime. Once Dave and his siblings die, everything Dave’s dad worked for will be handed over to the government.
