REVIEW Captain America: Brave New World

Not sure if this belongs here, but

I had extremely low expectations for the movies ever since I stopped watching the series fr at endgame, and I kept seeing news of the latest movie being woke as fuck.

So I expected extreme wokeness given that the new captain america is a subhuman ltn nigcel. But it wasn’t. I’m sure big budget movies that gets a lot of eyeballs always have some propaganda sprinkled in it, but this one had a good plot imo that wasn’t as sacrificed and compromised as I expected.

Wish someone else made a thread like this before that I could read. I erroneously assumed all movies being currently released are filled to the max with wokeness.

It's okay, I thought America and Japan going to war over Adamantium was super dumb

Red Hulk/The President was cool but underutilized, Harrison Ford could have carried the movie but the script kind of cucked him out of having any real importance

Lol the US vs Japan war part was the only time I laughed. Keep in mind I watched this while in a super depressed and numb mood, so idk if that change’s anything.

Red Hulk/The President was cool but underutilized, Harrison Ford could have carried the movie but the script kind of cucked him out of having any real importance

I think it was good. Didn’t even look at the cover art, so never expected the hulk. Was a pleasant surprise

Nah it was very mid and I say this as someone who liked the recent Thunderbolts movie and doesn't judge just cause it's Marvel soy. For one, I don't like they made the Leader this goofy omniscient villain who always knows what's gonna happen next, yet deliberately gets himself caught as his plan fails near the end of the movie cause actor prolly wanted out and is old. Being able to magically predict the future is a very lazy way to write smart characters. Second, fight with Red Hulk was hilariously full of plot armor, even with that Vibranium shit on Sam shouldn't have been able to tank as many hits as he did, he's a REGULAR HUMAN ffs and even managed to catch a giant post in midair with his bare hands. It would've been believable if he at least took the serum.

And I liked the statistical probability element of the villian. Reminds me/us of the power of Big Data basically

I don't care if he is a truecel or not I legitimately slept with my eyes open and I enjoy kids shows.
I have lowest standards every and it was dogshit.
